Tona Williams Art

Tona Williams, NM 2017

I’m a multidisciplinary artist with a particular love for colorful and textural figurative paintings and experiments in sculptural lighting. I work in wood, metal, paper, acrylic panel, layered pigments to bring out what are to me intriguing and delightful dances of light, shadow and texture.

Sculpture Series: Disintegration Reformation

This series explores wearing away and remerging anew. Deeply textured, multilayered forms express themselves from earthy origins.

These pieces were created and finished in May-July 2022, and cast at the fantastic Down on the Farm Iron Pour collaboration on July 2.

Fire Lanterns

Each of my one-of-a-kind cast iron fire lanterns can hold electric lighting or real flames, and can even be placed within a fire for maximum drama.
